​Team Rules

• All competitors must be members of Devotion in Motion Dance Studio.

• Allowed up to 2 hours worth of one on one lessons. If needing more, you must pay an extra fee for the private lesson.

• If your student does not have the proper shoes for class, your account will be charged for the correct pair.

• Teachers & choreographers choose the music and costume for each dance. Parents/student can give options for ideas, but DIM has final say.

• There will be a parent meeting before Fall classes begin to review DIM planned competitions, financial requirements, social activities, etc.

• It is mandatory for all students to come to all rehearsals unless approved 48 hours prior to the rehearsal with permission from the choreographer.

• It is required that all competitors be dressed appropriately for rehearsals. Elites must wear all black to practice.

• All Regional competitions are mandatory for all competitors.

• It is mandatory for all competitors to wear a DIM jacket and warm-up for all competitions.

• Everyone is expected to be a team player and help in the growth of their fellow students.

• All students are to respect the teachers and to do what is asked of them.

• We ask no extra curricular sports/activities during competition season. Other sports could result in injuries, resulting in our team changing choreography last minute.

• Absolutely no posting inappropriate content in your DIM wear.

• All competition team students and parents are expected to always conduct themselves in a courteous and respectful manner.

• While representing DIM, students and parents are expected to display good sportsmanship conduct to everyone they are in contact with.

• During competitions, win or lose, we are expected to have a winning attitude by both parents and students.

• Gossiping by a student or a parent about other students, parents, staff members or other studios is not tolerated and is grounds for disciplinary action that may result in probation, suspension, or being asked to leave the studio permanently.

• Gossiping will not be tolerated amongst the students or parents about other competitors during competitions.

• Disrespecting or being discourteous to a faculty member, parent or another student is grounds for disciplinary action that may result in probation, suspension, or being asked to leave the studio permanently.

• If you are asked to not return to the studio, there will be no reimbursement for any classes, collected fees for the revue, collected choreography fees, or any other fees collected by the studio.

• You must pay tuition and competiton fees on time. If not done so, your child is at risk of being pulled from the competition.
